Embracing her giving spirit, and happier, as a result of better self-care

“When I started coaching, I was working three jobs, getting very little sleep, and burned out. There was nothing left in me at the end of the day to give to myself. I’m a ‘giver’ and have been from a very young age; it’s a core value I cherish. I had always taken care of others first and didn’t want to let anyone else down.

First, Michelle helped me see that a change needed to be made, and through her coaching I was able to walk away from one of those jobs and simplify my life. Then, our coaching showed me that the more I take care of myself, the happier I am and the more I actually have to give others. Which in turn honors my core value of ‘giving’. I’ve always heard how taking care of yourself allows you to give more to others, but until my coaching with Michelle, I hadn’t truly understood the concept because I hadn’t experienced it or practiced it.

Initially, I was apprehensive about going into the coaching process and making the monetary commitment (although previously I could justify spending money and time on others…but not on myself), but – my coaching sessions were a true investment in myself. I looked forward to our calls, and relied on them throughout the coaching process. I benefited most from Michelle’s insights into my thoughts, and that she was rallying for me all the way.

The photo of the little girl is me when I was five years-old. The one who sees no limits, is curious about everything, and walks to the beat of her own drum not caring what others think. I admire her and aspire to honor her each day. She’s looking into the ‘light’ of the camera with a genuine smile because she is proud of who she is.” :)
